@LaurieSeymour I actually feel so silly now. Just a few minutes after my post I realise something that was very obvious. I went into the control config of the emulator and saw that the key 'x' was assigned to the equivalent of a GBA 'A' button. Thus being the action button prompted my choice in the title screen. SO simple!

I've tried about 4 or 5 ROMs now and both desmume and No$GBA emulators and still have the same problem. I always get to the title screen where it says 'New Game' etc, but I can never select an option. I can use the arrow keys to highlight an option but i've tried pretty much every key on the keyboard and still cant get it to let me start a new game. I know I'm not the only one with this problem I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help!

is there anyway u can make a walk through my friend just got her game an has no clue how to play it but i know both versons r the same in game play so could u make a walkthrough to help her out please when ur done with atless one i could give her the link for it to get her started i know how to play it it was just the pokemon leage i didnt know how to get to but im good now thanks if u can help
