Extreme popper fishing in Papua 2009

Hans Sibbel (Dutch comedian), Arnout Terlouw (specimen hunter) and Juul Steyn (fishing guide www.fishingamsterdam.com) fish in Papua, Indonesia for big GT's, extremely fast Spanish mackarel and giant dogtooth tuna. Depends on the Penn-model. Do you have a name of your reel? The braid should do, my favorite is the Power Pro 80 - 100 lb.

Yes for sure Papua and Indonesia may have some giant GT but you should also check out Micronesia. I live in Micronesia and I cast for the giant GTs using my own lures created from PVC 1 inch pipes....very inexpensive way to make lures and at the same time very effective for the GTs, barracudas, wahoo, big snappers and the big emperor fish.
