Now THIS is what I was looking for.

Wow.

@cesimps51: Thanks! I know. I was saying that there was no commentary mentioning Beachy Thompson. I grew up on the Dixie Hummingbirds. Ira Tucker and James Davis was mentioned and I was making the comment that Beachy was left out. Thanks again though!

Beachy Thompson is 2nd from the right in this video clip.

@tbeallday You know, my Dad and his brothers actually sung on the same programs with the Hummingbirds and the Swan Silvertones when Claude Jeter was their lead in the 50s and my sisters and I went to college with Take 6. Their bass, Vinnie Chea, and I shared a suite in our dorm. We still keep in touch to this day. If there is any way possible for me to get a copy, I would love to get one. I'd be willing to pay so I could add it to my collection.

@herschelzboy Yep I got it on VHS when it aired.

My father taped this when it first aired. I have watched this all my life. Blessed group

Harmonies soooo tight, you can't get a razor between 'em!!! Nobody else has that sound but the Hummingbirds.... I don't see Beachy Thompson listed among the Hummingbirds, one of the sweetest tenors ever to walk the planet!!!!
