NOTE: There are no spoilers if you've played the first 1-2 hours of 999.

DESCRIPTION:
This video is a parody of the Nintendo DS game, 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. It is a tribute to my love for the game, inspired from my work with Phoenix Wright/Wrong videos. I'm adamant Phoenix Wright owes part of its commercial success to Phoenix Wrong videos, so likewise, if my video helps even one person learn about 999, then it was worth it. Enjoy! :)
Edit (2/28/11): The video was also given a link to the official Aksys webpage! Again, big thanks to all those who liked the vid! :)
Edit (2/26/11): The video has been given a link to the 999 Aksys Facebook page! Huge thanks to all those who supported the video and support it into the future! :)

FAQ:
Q. Where is Lotus, June, and Junpei?
A. Junpei lacks sprites, so he was omitted. Lotus and June I omitted for story structure. I found it too difficult to bounce dialog between eight different characters, let alone nine. I had some joke ideas, but they either felt forced or sexist. Plus, it's hard to come up with serious non-cliche material for Lotus when her jugs are hanging out, so sorry to disappoint, lol.
Q. Why does the lip movement seem a tad odd?
A. 999 is different from Phoenix Wright. Having done Phoenix Wrong videos, I noticed Phoenix Wright games have four lip frames: closed, half open, wide open, and puckered. 999 does not have a puckered lip frame. I had to suck it up (no pung intended).
Q. Why the low/awkward video resolution?
A. Nintendo DS natively runs at a low 256x192 resolution - too small for optimal monitor viewing. When blown x2, it's better, but the quality suffers a bit. Unfortunately, it's a double-edged sword. I find x2 is the best balance, but that's my personal preference.
Q. Is there a Newgrounds flash version of this?
A. Not yet. I'll update this section when I release it. I wanted to get this rolled onto YouTube asap, since I'm really busy and I've procrastinated releasing this video enough as it is, lol. I'm open to criticism on this YouTube version and if I read some good suggestions, I might change some minimal things for the Newgrounds version.
I never would have thought that Napoleon Dynamite would be the perfect voice for the Ninth Man, but you turned me into a believer.

@GamerXZero It was his profuse sweating, glasses, and wild hair-do that made me a believer :)
He was the very first character I settled on. I was actually planning on just doing a 1 minute "Napoleon Dynamite as 9th Man" sketch, but I kept piling on more ideas and it kept growing from there.

I think this might just be good to have in Phoenix Wrong vids, the sprites would work well.

@MysticWolf77 I was actually debating inserting a Phoenix Wright character into this, but I thought it would kill the mood, at least for the first video. Maybe in a second. Phoenix Wright characters with a straight-on view would work, but anything else, especially from "Miles Edgeworth: Investigations" would look unusual.
