my big brother used to take me to see big george when i was about 16.Early 80s .Thought I was a big boy till seen the man in plutinis.Place full of hairy arsed muther feckers.Soon got edjucated.changed my musicall outlook.Soon got rid of the mullett.This still all time favourite rendition /song.Especially through last 6 divorces

I lived in Glasgow for a period of time in the early 90's. One night, George was busking. I asked him to play this song. I couldn't think of the title at the time so he went though a few songs before he got to this song. I gave him all the money I had on me that night -- I think it was around nine pounds - and he packed up shop and headed for the pubs. This song and the images in the video bring back fond memories of a beautiful country filled with beautiful people. Thank you!

I think he might not of remembered half of the song names himself...
And also, The band asked George for the nine pounds the other day...it was funny, George had no clue what to say, it was 1 of the first times I'd seen him speechless in a long time........
