Goodbye Blue Sky/Is There Anybody Out There?

I've got to thank JAW for this great arrangement of two great Pink Floyd songs(his username is "jawmunji" - you can find him in my subscriptions). I've played Is There Anybody Out There? for years, but the combination of these 2 songs makes it so much more fun. I hope you enjoy and I hope you'll try and learn this one as well. Cheers!
Addendum to the notes on 10/22/08: All right, I get it...I played it too fast. I was nervous and not used to playing in front of a camera. I never claimed to be anything more than a hack that likes to play guitar. So, please save your time and don't worry about saying it is too fast. Lots of people have already commented on that. I got it.

Hey great stuff JMD, I'm glad it worked out for you! By the way, I'm pleased you put the slidey part in ITABOT; I never realised it was played like that when I first learnt that song, and you know how hard it is to relearn something. Note - bit fast, keep it slow, even though I tend to speed up through it too. Must be because we've been playing these songs for sooo long eh...

It's not horrible by any means. But yes...slow down. A lot of players just want to get to the quick of it and it never works out. I tend to overstep myself when playing lead and try to out do myself...but never with finger-picking. You can't cheat it there or else it sounds like crap. Break it all down until the timing between chords is right. Thanks for the post!

i love how everyone tells you you should slow down but you know how the old saying goes..."those who can, do and those who can't teach" lol. I think you did great at it and I'm a fan of jawmunji too, his version of this song is uber awesome lol. your "is there anybody out there" is kick ass too. check out Threetaketony on you tube's version of it, i think you'll like it.
