  • Ms. darkside: If I may ask, would you have the same relativizing consideration for a disaffected white public figure who made similar grievances about blacks or asians, and would you feel the same ease at the idea of one of his or her closest disciples potentially becoming the most powerful person in the world.

  • Its hard to answer that question because well, white people had never been slaves to black people, so its hard to flip the coin around... I think it is not entirely appropriate to judge Obama based on what his pastor said, but i can understand why you might be upset at the associatoin.

  • Trinity United Church of Christ's Web site says its teachings are based on the black liberation theology of James H. Cone and his 1969 book "Black Theology and Black Power." a book that espouses "the destruction of the white enemy."

Honestly, I expect more from an asian women. My GF is asian and I am real close with her family and their friends and I don't think a single one of them think Obama is a good person. Your absolutely out of your mind.

  • I didn't know the website said that. I don't agree with everything Wright said, obviously. But there are truths to some of the things he 've said, although other things are untrue and hurtful to others. I am just saying , maybe we should try to understand why he is so angry and if discrimination has made him say things that are very explicit and even suspicous of white people.

I am not saying we should agree with what he say, but just to have a more open mind. :D

  • Not suprising...in what way?

  • It's not suprising because i have read about unethical scientists using certain group of people for unsafe experiments :(

  • First, Wright told the truth and what happened? Obama the Politician instantly distances himself from Wright. The MSM calls Wright racist because they have to have an angle to hype in the story. Yet again, the "Great Race Debate" disappears after about five minutes.

Second, go to Tim Wise's site for someone who's at least trying to draw attention to a real discussion.

  • @User100606 So right.

  • @JimmyJump007 I'm so glad that you took the time out to listen to what he said, and not just listen to what the media would want you to think. If more people would just listen just think about how much better we can be. People who are not black can't understand what we go through everyday and I get it. Because you never had to every sec of your life prove that you love this country just as much as anyone else. So May God Bess You. We need more like You.

  • You mean that when children are tested for their knowledge of their own microcosm they seem to know more? Who would have thought.

In point of fact, Wright's rhetoric extends beyond your own xenophobia into pure alchemy. I'd prefer a sound education from "people who don't like me" then to be turned into an imbecile by a cult of tribalists that satisfy my parents' egos.

  • it has been proven that black kids given education that is culturally relevant to them perform better than when it is not. why should black parents send their children to learn from people who dont like them?

  • The media is owned by Zionists, and they are spreading lies about what this man said, and not letting the people decide for themselves by hearing the entire speech. If you hear his entire speech (the one which the media used to bring down Obama) it denounces Zionist terrorism.

  • I referring to his rhetoric saying that black children need separate educational accommodation then white children, and his accompanying beliefs in eugenic pseudo-science. (from his speech before the Detroit NAACP, not his sermons)

  • Racial separatist? Did you watch the entire sermon? Where does he advocate that in the sermon, you need to watch the sermon not the sound bites.

  • It's delusional and fallacious to say that Wright merely "criticized the government" he libeled it AND the citizenry. That and his other racial separatist diatribes are unpatriotic. His former military service does not give him all-encompassing license.

  • Besides, just because a person disagrees with his government doesn't making him unpatriotic, our government serves the people, we don't serve them. What's democracy with out disagreement?
