Im flying with Thai air in one week same route, i don't mind having no PTV's they annoy me. I prefer a chat, have a few beers, some nice food and then a sleep. Its travelling and fun not a cinema were every one is goggle eyed at the screen
@aromchuen, Thanks pal, love to come back to Thailand for a good holiday again, but am flat out busy and have not taken long leave for a few years, occasional 5 days here,8 days there.Thailand is my best destination for holiday, even though Bali is closer to Perth.Value for money Thailand is best for me,and of course better with TG.
@burmesetiger1 The experience is much better if you don't have a headphone on and listen to the sound of the engine and the people chit chatting and looking forward to a wonderful holiday in thailand and not to mention the very soothing landing music they play :D
This is a fantastic video, a full 10 minutes to the Suvarnabhumi until the aircraft stop.I have never been to the new airport and have not been to Thailand since 2003,now I see a glimpse of the airport what it looks like.Imagine yourself like flying when you are sitting with a headphone in front of PC,and seeing all the landscape from the air craft window. It doesn't cost you a single cent to have that feeling. Great.
Last year we flew 4 times with Etihad to BKK each flight was to a high standard.
The reason why we changed this year was price! We managed to get cheaper prices with Thai than Etihad and that is the same for April.
I seem to really struggle with the direct flights that are over 10 hours but in January i felt pretty relaxed and looking forward to a good night in Bangkok.
Hopefully prices will come down in June as thats our trip to the land of smiles!!!!!
that's funny, I'm flying on the 23/04/10... very disappointing about the entertainment. have been to thailand twice, every time with etihad airways and it was really good, have never watched that many movies in one go in my entire life. this time wanted to take a direct flight, paid for tickets without checking and going to die from boredom!!!
