  • At 3:05 thts rediculous tht Honda can't make it up tht hill

  • i admit, i'm kinda impressed with the toyota fj's. and i'm a ford fan.

  • Do us all a favor. Take that ridgeline, and drive it off the top floor of a parking deck into a burning pit. Thanks.

  • It's called, locked differential.

  • Can't really judge the Pilot unless off road tires are used. Those fancy rims don't help the situation much either. Post more vids please! If the car fails with decent off road tires, then those car review guys were paid to make this car sound good!

  • @cg95660 Finally we see eye to eye. That said the Ridgeline in the video is (In my opinion) out of its league trying to drive around (Mild) off-road conditions. And a side note on the Pathfinder: it gets 16 MPG (Woo) and 200 lb/ft of torque at 2,800 with 90% torque at 1,500 RPM. Something Honda forgets is that HP isn't everything. Torque, and where it hits on the RPM band, is what moves a vehicle. I like my Pathy but its extremely unreliable. Within the next month I'm buying an 05-06 Subaru LGT.

Not to mention that the american brands just do not hold up. They are getting better, but still have a long way to go, in my mind, before they truly compete with the imports well deserved names. With that said if I had to buy a more off road capable truck it would be a toyota hands down, but for a little less wheeler and a little more daily livability this is better.

I understand what you are getting at trust me I used to have a kick ass mudder, an old 78 f100. It does have a small tow capacity, but to compare it to a nissan is dumb. The nissan gets 12 mpg and makes 160 hp that to me is beyond horrid and I am a datsun freak. The ridgeline is hondas first attempt at making a truck and its based on the odyssey. This will do what almost all hondas are known for, I have owned 3, be reliable and safe. My last car 03 si, saved my life.

  • @cg95660 I get why it was made, but I'm never going to like it. I just dislike people who think their 3.4L Ridgeline is a true pickup truck. They think it can tow, they think it can bog, they think it can do everything an actual truck can do. Truth is, this thing has more in common with an AWD Toyota Matrix than it does with an Explorer Sportrac or Chevy Avalanche. Not only that, but this mid-2000's "Truck" has a towing capacity that equals that of my VG33 powered Pathfinder from 1997. Sad.

  • @PlatinumRacing

God forbid they actually make a decent little truck that rides nice. How dare they try such dastardly and absurd things. Don't they know you are supposed to leave your truck with back pain every day. lol Hater.
