Filmed by Christoph von Furer-Haimendorf. Broadcast by the BBC in the 1960's and based on fieldwork carried out in central Nepal in the 1950's and 1960's. The film is part of a large archive of footage shot by Haimendorf in the Himalayas. It is put up with his permission. For many years now, Indian have been writing false history claiming that Lord Buddha was born in India. But the very fact was Lord Buddha was born in Nepal. So this video is to educate the citizens of the world about birthplace of Lord Buddha and to spread the truth about him and his teachings.

@elephantinpajamas they don necesarily limit their choice of spouces to their own villages...often they marry someone from another village and after several years later, their kids ends up having to climb hilss for over 5 hours just to visit the grandparents..lol n im one of those kids :)
