Moksha: Buddhish Nibbana Mantra
Moksha means spiritual liberation. This dance represents a spiritual culmination for the dancer who soars into the realm of pure aesthetic delight. The Buddhist verse in Pali goes: May I always indulge in good Karma and keep good company, so that I may attain nibbana or the freedom from the cycle of birth and death and be one with the Divine." The dance ends with the artist's representation of the Buddha's three meditative gestures: the varada mudra, the dhyana mudra and finally the bhumisparsha (earth-touching) mudra.
