all they had to do was put a bit of effort into the old tennements,they could saved about two thirds of them,but oh no,they had to build the "new" schemes that no one wanted.

the townhead photo it says Parliamentary rd, it's not on that stretch of

rd ( now Saint Mungo ave ) it would have been McCaslin st. parly rd would

have been parallel off to the left.

@MrWerule1 So you have past an opinion on Glasgow, interesting, do you live there ? I don't live there although I knew the city quite well in the 50's and 60's.

This is where I live, it's a dump, full of drunks, it's grey permanently ( notice I can spell ) it's always fucking raining and people complain,,,yes it really is like that but it was voted one of the best places to live,,,,,,,VANCOUVER !

So don't think Glasgow ( which some folks hold dear to them ) is any different than any big city.

glasgows a dump full of drunks drugs and violence the place lacks nice people ,,its grey permenently and raining they say its doesnt bother the people ,,trust me when it rains everyone complains ,,so it does bother them ,,there are very millionaires ,,they leave as soon as they make it ,,its the most dangerous place in western europe its a hole

@Donnachie51 they didn't make a mess of glasgow building lovely public housing. there should have been a strict set of rules and regulations regarding the care of the properties and the yards; citizens brigades set up to maintain standards of hygiene and cleanleness.and to keep drug dealers, prostitutes and violence out of those housing units
