  • My advice is to buy a good guide with pictures for any plant that you want to harvest. There are species and sub-species across the world, so a good guide can not be understated. And again, pictures, not drawings.

  • So it just might be I have an elderberry in my backyard AND the poisonous one intertwined with it . How ironic!

  • excellent showing which one to avoid.

    is it correct that elderberries leaves are slightly jagged at the edges, not waxy, the stems near to the berries are very red and the berries are black.

    the one you showed as not to eat has straight edged leaves which are waxy, the berries are blue and the stems near to berries are pale?

    looked that way to me.
