Crosswords

This beautiful short, by Luke Heron, is based on Crosswords short story by his brother, Tim Heron.

Shot in one location, a small quaint café, it tells us the story of Tom. This young man gets an unexpected encounter while he follows his daily routine sitting at the same table as usual, working on his laptop and drinking coffee.
Realising that his life became merely a repetitive sequence of routines, he decides to stop working and look around for the first time in a long time.
In the rather empty café, he sees an old man filling out crosswords and in the opposite corner from him a young beautiful woman reading a book.
This short tells us the story of these three people and how their interaction between each other changed the path of their lives.
