Exactly, they're also accused of "shady" recruiting tactics to "trick" people into joining. From my experience it is the complete opposite -- you have to try really hard and prove yourself, there is a sort of "moral elitism" to it all I guess. I mean they have like 60,000 members worldwide!! Most churches will have that in one city alone.

I can tell you from experience, these guys are the real deal; completely dedicate their lives to Christ and holiness. Beautiful organisation.

I agree with you. They fear anything that is remotely religious. Those fearful, hateful comments are a result of a spiritual degradation and progressive-secularization of every last facet of modern culture. Too bad..

You can be a good person even without someone that tell you what to do...expecially from a priest member of the Spanish State...Franciso Franco's authoritarian dictatorship....please rispect your body...and your free mind...don't give'em your money....they use it for business...not for good things for everyone...

There are a lot of good things about Opus Dei. Focus on those, and not on the few negative things.
