Rosie May Memorial Fund 1

Update on building the Rosie May Home for Tsunami Orphans in Sri Lanka. This is in memory of Rosie May Storrie who was murdered at a christmas party in 2003, when she was 10 years old. The following year her parents and two brothers travelled to South East Asia when they were caught in the Boxing Day Tsunami. Please visit www.rosie-may.com and show support for this project.

You may not want to hear this but i also suffer from what is known as Asperger Syndrome, the same condition as the boy responsible for the murder of Rosie May. Myself with a similar conditon makes me similar to the boy however i am incapable of commiting such a brutal murder, which shows Asperger suferers (Aspies) are able to be responsible for our actions.

Thank you for writing. We are not offended by your comment, we totally agree with what you are saying. It is wrong for all Aspergers sufferers to be linked with the actions of Rosie May's murderer. In fact Aspergers was never mentioned or used in court for his actions.

@rosiemay10 Thanks so much! I have suffered from asperger's too and appreciate that people know that having asperger's does not make a person commit any sort of horrible crime. What that boy did to your beautiful young daughter was despicable and I am glad he will be in prison for a long time!

@rosiemay10 You're welcome, and I'm so sorry for your loss. If I may ask ( without going into a lot of detail of course) what were some of the circumstances leading up to this tragic event? I accidentaly stumbled upon this video, and only know very brief information, about this young man committing this digusting type of crime. I also hope this is not offensive, I'm just curious, more to learn about Rosie's life though before it was cut short :(

I have asperger's too, unfortunately. This story makes me very sad. Rest in peace Rosie, you are a beautiful young girl, and hopefully one day, I will be lucky enough to meet you up in heaven. Sleep tight sweetie <3

You may not want to hear this. i also have the conditon Asperger syndrome. Therefore i am similar to the boy responsible for the murder of Rosie May. However i am pleased you are dedicated to build and open a orphanage dedicated to the memory as well as meeting the needs of children who have sadly lost their parents as a result of the Tsunami. i wish you the best of luck with achieving your goals
