  • Fair play to them though. How many Russians play Irish trad tunes? I met a really good Russian Uilleann piper from Moscow in Matt Malloys bar in Westport. His name was Alexandra and he played with the local musicians in a session. He'd been over for the Willie Clancy week and had saved for 2 years, to spend a week in Ireland! Fairplay to him.

  • His name is Alexander Karavaev. You can find him on some of these videos (not this one, though)
