Well, they need to have at least one person worth being called a journalist, to be a "news" channel. :] Also, I guess he is the only thing keeping more reasonable republicans watching Fox News. I mean, I'm not from US, also would rather call myself a liberal, but Smith's segments on Fox are simply good and fun to watch and I would most likely watch them from time to time. They surely know what they're doing.

The can't really fire him, he's tied for second with Walter Kronkite(sp?) for most trusted journalist in Broadcast News. If they fire him they might as well call themselves the Republican Propaganda Machine

I said periodically, and they do. That said, of course dedicated Fox viewers skew conservative. But if you believe the product is shitty, then shouldn't the success be even more glaring? Bieber is popular because of a calibrated public image designed to meet market demand. Fox is popular because it fills a market void: news that isn't skewed left. No one's saying Fox doesn't have conservative commentators. But claiming the network news isn't grossly left-leaning is childish and idiotic.

It sounds very much as though you need to do what I eventually did....force yourself to try watching the other networks for a while in an honest and objective attempt to see where the bias and misinformation really is. Its not easy to step outside of your comfort zone to do so, but if you value honesty and accuracy you would at least make a sincere attempt.

You may be shocked by what you discover as I was.
