Seems as though no one is taking the old Gamera films serious or giving them the respect they deserve. HELLO: Tokyo Shock/Media Blasters, ADV Films, Classic Media, Sony.........ANYONE!!! I love Gojira, but Gamera deserves more attention. I commend ADV films for releasing Shusuke Kaneko's awesome late 90's Gamera trilogy. Tokyo Shock/Media Blasters released "Gamera The Brave" which was also cool. But we need the classic Gamera films released properly; like they did in Japan.

I loved Gamera in the 70's. I can't believe how bad these movies were. We sure had imagination compared to the kids today.

Thanks for the info. I really hope that Shout Factory comes through. Hell, someone needs to release them properly. I heard the Japan blu-ray editions look great. Still might import them though. But I would buy the dvd's and support Shout Factory if they deliver the goods.

Shout Factory is planning on releasing the entire original Gamera franchise on DVD with the original Japanese language and English subtitles
