On Sept. 11, 2001, NASA astronaut, Frank Culbertson, was the lone American not on the planet. Culbertson and two Russian cosmonauts were orbiting the Earth aboard the International Space Station as members of the Expedition 3 crew. Included is video captured by Culbertson and crew as they flew over New York City just after the attacks on the World Trade Center. Included is additional footage aboard the ISS, as well as interview excerpts of Culbertson's recollections ten years later.

@tommycarstensen many of people and families who were involved in 9/11 do believe it was a conspiracy. Sure, there are very rude comments out there, and they are very disgusting, but most "conspiracy theorists" (people who don't believe everything they are told by media and gov't) are actually trying to find truth for these victims. I myself am still undecided on what actually occurred, but it is very interesting to read different views and perspectives.

I am not an American and I didn't loose family members and friends on 9/11. All you conspiracy theorists should think about the people you hurt, when you repeatedly suggest alternative truths of the line of events on that day. Write a book, if you feel so strongly about it. Don't post comments here and all over the internet in the face of the relatives of the victims. It is a display of a total lack of empathy. Thank you.

@pmhorler The ISS completes an orbit of the Earth every 90 minutes, so they would have been able to view Manhattan several times during the day.
