Police Doberman vs baby

My k9 Doberman and my 6 month old son. Imported police dog. There's a squeaky toy she wants by his right hand. But like any good friend she won't take it from him. Moviebuff993: Thank you for such a nice compliment. I have spent a lot of time training my dogs but this is an untrained natural instinct in Dobermans. This female will chase off anyone who enters my ranch and tears into bite sleeves, then turns around and "babies" my baby. She is a protector as are all my Dobies. In my opinion they are the best dogs. As a police officer I hope to someday make Dobermans the "go to breed" for departments. The ONLY breed bred exclusively for personal protection!

What a great example of a Doberman! Beautiful dog! You have obviously taken the time out to properly train your Doberman, it's sad how they are often mislabeled just b/c they haven't been properly trained. Good for you!

I love you video. I have the very same scenario happening at my house on a daily basis. I have a 6 month old son and a beautiful Russian bred Doberman female that absolutely adores her baby. What a sweetie. The Dobes I have had always knew who my kids or beloved pets were, and treated them accordingly. When my kids were babies my Dobes was the way your beautiful girl is, and my current guy protects a blind cat I adopted!

I have to say,I used to be very frightened of this breed. A friend just got one and they have a two year old, and I thought they were CRAZY to do it. That dog is that kid's best friend. She follows him everywhere and she makes sure you're a nice person before she lets you approach the child. Very nice dog.

Dobermans are wonderful with kids. My brother had one years ago. Even w/people he knew and liked, he wouldn't allow them in the yard w/the kids until my brother or his wife invited them in. He was very protective of the kids and was a good playmate for them, too. Ever since that dog, I've wanted one of my own.

What a majestic and beautiful Doberman looks so loyal won't hurt the baby that's a truly great Doberman I think the people who say we can't have dobermans as pets because they are apparently vicious which I don't think are wrong they are truly loyal a mans best friend I should say :)
