The audio quality is so poor I can’t tell if they’re playing good or bad

No way, absolutely no way, Kiss always gives you perfect performances almost same as on their cassete's or cd's (Yeah, I'm a TRUE metalhead, still listening cassetes and Cd's), these guys of Dream Theater, Helloween, Angra, Pantera, Sacrecy, The Sword, Deep Purple, and Stratovarius always made Perfect live performances; if you have EVER been or seen concerts of these bands, you will notice that you are wrong, Oh, and, no one of this band use the lipsync.

@4rr0wFr0st i assure you man, flawless lol. they definitely bring the attributes of a good concert too, engaging the audience the whole time while providing the audio atmosphere of listening to the mp3 on full blast. dragonforce does too any studio tampering and tweaking, which is misleading when they play live

@thomasiscool94 You're right, I haven't. And I've heard they're great musicians. But surely the live performance doesn't sound EXACTLY like the studio recording? If it does then that should raise a red flag, and besides it's missing the eccentricities that make it a concert worth coming to, instead of a place where everyone comes to listen to the radio, y'know?
Also, props for good behavior on the internet.

@4rr0wFr0st my friend, you obviously haven't been to a Between the Buried and Me concert. FLAWLESS performance. an above average band plays their shit right all the time, live or in the studio.

you are stupid, dragonforce is great in live I see you playing guitar to check that you are better than them lol idiot
the next time you play live fence to your city uses so change your opinion about them, plus you do not play safe or the triangle!
no understand?sorry my english is very bad :P

@AP93Playa their timing was way the fuck off i think thats what this dude was getting at
-
you cant blame a crappy camera on dragonforce
-
it seams more of a problem of the sound tech guy

You "can not" spell. Oh by the way it's spelt "cannot".
@haildeftone00 Nailed it. Quality-wise the studio version of a song will always trump a live performance. If you went to a metal concert expecting to hear exactly what you heard from a MP3, either you're a moron or your favorite band is lipsyncing.
But that's just for quality, and for a lot of music (metal especially!) the live performance gives something the studio recording just can't. Maybe it's the noise, or the crowd singing along, or whatever, but some bands are so much better in concert.
