To Ozu san and Mr Wim Wenders.
I have much respect for them both thank you for teaching me about cinema.
Voice in the background is by Jiddu krishnamurti, his speech on "Changing".
The Bushido Code has seven main virtues whose roots stem from Confucius and Zen Buddhism.
Gi (rectitude) morality, integrity
Yū (courage) bravery, valor
Jin (Benevolence) kindness, compassion
Rei (respect) reverence
Makoto (honesty) sincerity
Meiyo (honor, glory) nobility
Chūgi (loyalty) faithfulness, devotion, trustworthiness
Sometimes added to these were:
Kō (filial piety) love and respect for parents and ancestors
Chi (wisdom) insight
Tei (caring for the elderly)
* Note - This is non commercial purely my study of images.Entertainment purpose only.
Here i have scenes from Ozu and Wim Wenders footage that i have cut and joint with Alain Resnais "Hiroshima Mon Amour".
I hope that i can show how American culture have influence Japanese youth after the war, with Rock & Roll and Coca Cola, but the change is indeed necessary.
The part after Hiroshima we saw the pretty Setsuko Hara carefree spirit riding a bicycle, her expression showing joy, hope and love. One should welcome change.
Welcome 2009 and good bye 2008.
Very deep emotion video !
There is some inspirations!
