Cheaper to make your own bandanas. Yes, I know I keep pounding on the table. Sorry!!! And No, I'm not trying to play the drums :)

  • i do this all the time XD i usually make 2 bandanas from the same shirt. u can make one for the face and head. and by the way, in survival methodes, u can use the extra pieces u cut off as char-cloth. look it up :P i dont wanna explain.

anyways its cool that somebody did a video on this hehehe. i think i might make one some time.

  • @501poundmiget ... great idea about the char-cloth, i've never made it before because I'm kind of smitten with the lint and petroleum/cotton ball, but I'll have to find an altoid tin and give it a try:)

  • its cool making bandanas from your clothes you no longer use.

  • I'll be sure to save all my husbands old clothes.

  • sew the bandannas together and make a cute skirt!

  • I suggest you don't wear it camping around my troop, they sometimes forget thier bandanas and I can imagine all of them eyeing you up to wipe thier hands on when dinner comes. I don't let my troop bring napkins, they know to use thier bandanas... so watch out !!! :)

  • fab vide love the info you shared ..all moms should watch this

  • @watuwaitn4 well if you wanna try, get a lid for the can and poke some holes in it, when it smokes its ready. but keep in mind, u need to leave the parts that arent quite black in the can a little longer, tho if most of it is already charred....cut off the good parts and leave the other ones in or else they'll shribble and its gonna be too chalky to use.

  • Thats a good idea to make them that big. I'll have to make a few x-large ones for my first-aid :)

  • Finally someone is making bandanas. I saw where there was a "cowboy" bandana 42 x 42 for sale. I want to get one large enough to make a man-size arm sling or head cover. I'll look at 36 x 36 up to 45 x 45 (finished 42 x 42). I like natural Earth colors, flannel, cammo, but I want cool Summer and cold Winter too.
