kuz i bought this guitar used and there was a hugeass scratch there so the sticker's there to conceal it.

The technique is there, but turn down the gain a bit. It needs a smooth, bluesy overdrive, not a razor sharp distortion from Hell. Aim for a Gary Moore kind of tone, with plenty of sustain and slow, expressive vibrato.
