I did a video on how to key out a green screen using final cut express. I am not a trained pro, i maybe doing it all wrong but it worked for me.

I have a question, I have a horrible green tint when doing this on the object that I want to view so how do I get rid of this tint.

You could try under effects, key.. adding a spill suppressor. That should take out the green glow :)

Yes. the keyword isn't green.. its about CONTRAST between your object and the background.

but I wouldn't recommend black or white if you want to do cut it like shown in the video.

the screen color should not be part of the object, idealerweise.

    Hello!

I did not have an access to the green screen, so I had no choice but to do it with a white background. Could I still do the same thing like you did in this video?

    Thank you.

yeah, but try not to use strong and usual colors as white, black, blue... the chroma green is a good one!

Yeah I was wondering if I was going to green screen a clip with my chinese water dragons, they're about the same color as a green screen... so could I use black or white?
