On this whole thing of "Fixing the day we vote." I watched the first elections in Afgahnistan. Those people went under the threat of death and the turn out to vote was huge. Wake up America. The RIGHT to vote is something you should NEVER take for granted.
I know a woman, who was mad at me for voting a person she didn’t like, BUT she didn’t vote and she resides in the same county as I. Her vote could have cancelled mine. So, I just said, “Well thanks for not voting against me.

The irony of the truth that a very low percentage of Americans know why we vote on Tuesday- is that it doesn't matter anymore. It's irrelevant to today's society and knowing it is a useless byte in our brains. Change the voting day to Thursday and we will be just as happy to vote for someone else to make decisions for us. Then we can be unhappy about the poor decisions we make individually in our personal lives, but feel better about ourselves nationally.
