@jordotech: True, although it's great to know how to edit modules in general beyond the "#modtag { display: none; }" hack. This is a very versatile solution that's not visible to the end-user. :)
hello, this is a very complicated solution to a simple problem--- this could have been solved by merely editing the permissions for this content type... kudos on hook_form_alter though, that was a great way to show us how powerful that function is.
