Final Fantasy VII is a game of many rumors. Many of them are beyond far-fetched and laughable, but there are a few good ones too. However, when a game has been out for more than 12 years, there's not gonna be anything left for you to discover. There is one rumor in particular, though, that might catch your attention. The Mysterious Test 0.

This is a scan from "The Completely Unauthorized Final Fantasy VII Ultimate Guide" by Versus Books, released in 1997. In addition, you might wanna read about the "little red guy" too:

To sum it up, Test 0 is an enemy that appears on the bottom of the well in Corel Prison in the early Japanese version of the game. I finally managed to get my hands on this version yesterday, so I decided to see if the battle really was there and it sure was. It's a little rare, though. The first time, I got it after 5 battles, and when I recorded this, I got it after almost 10. I guess it's a 1/8 chance of getting it.
The reason why I always believed this battle was real is because it's an exact duplicate of one of the Pyramid battles. The enemies are standing in the same positions, it's got the same background and you get the same amount of EXP, AP and Gil. The scan got their HP wrong, though. It's 30000 and not 25000. Since Sense doesn't work on enemies with 30000 HP or more, I use other methods to show exactly how much HP they have. Apparently, they are vulnerable to all statuses, and cannot be stolen from or morphed into anything. If you manipulate them, you'll just get a blank command box.
And just in case you don't misunderstand anything, this is an actual random battle in the game. You don't need a Gameshark to access it. I have no idea if the developers left it there on purpose or if they simply forgot to take it out. Since it's not there in any later versions of the game, my bet is they simply forgot.
With a Gameshark, however, you can access all the other test battles. The Pyramids don't exist in this game, so all the test battles consist of actual monsters from the game, some of them on rather curious backgrounds. I'll make a video soon.
I have no idea why that happens to Cait Sith. Some times when you use the Debug Room to get somewhere, that just happens. It's the same thing that happens in my "Level 0 Glitch" video.
Cloud's Max HP of 7777 is pure coincidence. I was going to level him up to 99, but then I suddenly noticed he had 7777 HP, so I decided to keep him there.
where can you get the versus guide from?

@991woot119 Try eBay or Amazon, and expect to pay up to 100 bucks for it. It's somewhat of a rarity these days.

Please have you made/would you recreate another glitch from the Versus guide: the ridable chocobo getting entangled with the rocket from Rocket Town? For those of us without access to the Japanese game version (and those without the Versus guide, for that matter). It is in the section about Tifa as leader, if I remember correctly

@VvAnarchangelvV I don't know how to activate that glitch, but it's possible to recreate it with gameshark codes, as I've done in part 2 of my "object control" series.

Ah, can you give me the gameshark code for enemies in the japanese version? I never found any...
Thanks in advance!
