raindrops form around a mote of dust, the rain in Spain can leave cars spotted with dust, that is of the same colour as the earth, reddish or sandy coloured.I suppose that settles out in the cellar, Do they have to clean out the cellar before the monson? rose macaskie.

where is the filtration before the water enters the cellar?

@rippergeo There is no filtration traditionally. At the roof there are diversion pipes when water is not to be harvested. After the roof is swept and washed clean, only then rainwater is allowed into the copper lined water cellar underground.
