During the February 6 snow storm, four Virginia State Troopers were injured working weather related traffic accidents.
When you see an emergency vehicle sitting on the right hand side of the road, the law says you should change lanes to the left hand side," Virginia State Police Trooper Butch McMurray said.
The penalty for not following this law carries a hefty fine of $2,500. It could also lead to a year suspension of your driver's license depending on the seriousness of the crash.
