A lot easier if you play as drumstick. He's super fast. Just get used to the handling and you'll be using him for everything. I know i had to on adventure 2.

usually letting go of the button right before hitting the zippers would result in a longer burst of speed, shown through a rainbow colored trail of smoke

if turning is the problem then try holding on to the breaks while skidding

the method is necessary for catching certain zippers on the track

the risk however, would be skidding into the water, unless you apply your "twitching" method from the hovercraft to the kart

@supersonicmario56 I don't recall if I did. I think so, since I remember habitually doing it for other instances. My losses were probably due to how I took the turns on that track. I was most used to the hovercraft's handling (cornering in those (at least with Timber) required many minute deliberate control stick twitches). There was a point when I got kind of good with Tiptup in the car and I still couldn't beat Wizpig. My sister who main'ed as Tiptup with a car couldn't either.
