  • @toyogc4ever I was a teenager in the 60s and the 70s. In my opinion the 60s were the greatest. There were The Beatles, The Beach Boys,The Monkees, The Rolling Stones,The Grassroots,The Buckinghams, The Classic four,The Cowsills, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Animals, Herman Hermits,The Rascals The Zombies and The Hollies to name a few. There was also music by Elvis Presley,Connie Francis,Lesley Gore,Patsy Cline Frankie Avalon. Chad and Jeremy , Peter and Gordon The 60s were sensational !

hey man yes the 60's were the time that the music spoke but in the air was a useless war that cause the early death of 58000 fellow baby boomers and friends, classmates to be my age now is very haunting with this shadow hanging over us we must never forget that while people got rich on war many many good people lost their lives for nothing

  • Nice post, great group.

Some classic Les Paul guitars there!

  • i think i fell in love with music when in 1958 at 4yo i heard the saxophone solo on the song, Purple People Eater. i'm usually pretty tough, but hearing the start of this Hollies song, tears come to my eyes, one of the most beautiful melodies and vocal harmonies from the 60s

  • Yeah right the 60's was the greatest decade of music, lots of group that we can really listen i mean really music not just a noise and a bloody the same lyrics repeated 100x, i let my 16 year old son and his friend listen just for a while at first they dont like but later they begin to like the music of the 60's they said they can even now appreciate the love song and pops and found out also that the new generation have made new music out from the 60and just change some melodies and lyrics

  • @blueticecho Yeah, but the 60's had plenty of superb bands, and today there's a lack of them. That's what I meant.

  • @MarceloFarias That's nonsense good taste transcends all generations..

  • @MarceloFarias I lived in that time and you would be amazed on how many did not like it...have you heard of the ...generation gap...a big problem...

  • @phil4508 Yeah, but not living those times, with all those beautiful bands makes me really sad. Only few bands today bring us that feeling, if you know what I mean...

  • @JammerZice that is what was said of rock and roll...oh for the big bands...

  • @MarceloFarias not with youtube...

  • I was born in the wrong decade...
