And always he returns to the question "Why cook?" Or the more difficult "Why cook well?" Medium Raw is the deliciously funny and shockingly delectable journey to those answers, sure to delight philistines and gourmands alike.

  • Bourdain is a terrific writer. He comes from a very honest place, and his tempo and his style assure you that you can trust him. And oftentimes, it's so funny it will make you burst out laughing.

    I just finished "Medium Raw" and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

  • @greyhound515 i bet this book will be better than the last. writers always get better the more they write. he did say he won't eat pets any more though. ;-)

  • @michaelpshipley1 yaeh, I am not crazy about the hair but I have read the short version sent by the publisher and I cannot wait to read his book! Bourdain is just the best, and is there anything he WON'T eat???
