Trending this hour...hundreds of websites are taking part in the fight against SOPA - the Stop Online Piracy Act. The websites have declared today American Censorship Day in an effort to protest today's hearing on the bill in the House Judiciary Committee. The bill is designed to make allegedly copyright infringing sites virtually disappear from the internet. Major players are coming out on both sides of the SOPA battle. While lobbyists for Hollywood applaud the bill...Google, Facebook and Zynga have joined a slew of sites protesting the proposed act.

  • I quote, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Therefore, the SOPA act should be invalid. The SOPA act acts against the first amendment of the Bill of rights by "...prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech..."
