@dreamdoll1988 your daughter likely has a language delay or, based on your statements about not responding to her name, a hearing impairment or autism. You should talk with your pediatrician right away.

my daughter 20 months old and hasnt got 10 to 20 recognisable words not even 5.should i be worried?im taking her to the pedician she has called a book a bap ever since she was 1 year old and when i call her name or a intruction more then 3 times everytime she will not listen and focus on a sound on a toy machine or something else its like shes hypnotised or something and gets really frustrated with the lack of words she can pronounce to the point she throws fits 50 per cent of the time

Meds. Millions are being diagnosed with autism. Parents are being terrorized into thinking their children need to be perfect. Einstein didn't speak until he was 4!! Many many brilliant and normal people were speech delayed. Maybe it is just NORMAL for SOME kids to develop at a different rate

This video is right! My pediatrician was not concerned about my son's speech, but I was. I had his skills assessed on-line at IsMyChildDelayed. It turns out he is 50% delayed! I glad I went with my gut instinct. I'm going to get some help for him.
