dude the last time i did that, after three stabs the flounder would not stop wiggling. this was on a pier by the way, some guy just came over grabbed it bottom jaw and snapped its neck. he only asked to use the head as bait

Each to their own.....I consider harvesting kaimoana (sea food) by getting into their environment on single breath holds MUCH more of a challenge (not to mention being a lot more selective) than sitting in a boat dangling a hook over the side .
