BIKE WAS NOT BACK TOGETHER AT THIS POINT IN TIME. This it the first start with a brand new piston, and a re-plated cylinder. The reason that it is smoking (for you people who are mechanically inclined) is because with all the brand new parts in the top end, i put it back together with an abnormal amount of oil until it got broke in. IT DOESN'T SMOKE ANYMORE. 1997 KTM 300EXC (The bike looks like the MXC version, because I took the lights off. It is in fact the EXC, I have the street legal title for it. I HAVE OTHER FOOTAGE WITH THE BIKE COMPLETELY FINISHED.

  • Don't let it idle especially with high amounts of oil it will foul the spark plug

  • @TheKtm300rider I had just put $600 into new engine parts...I figured I'd put a plug in if i had to. Its been 3 years since this fix. I might have put one plug in it...Its been an awesome bike.

  • Hey i was looking into getting a exc 300 and getting it road leagal, is it good on the road and worth getting?

  • @DMCcornish i've had this bike street legal for 2 seasons now, and i love it. Its a big enough 2-stroke that it has some low end torque for just cruising. It'll haul ass when you get on the throttle though. If you want a street legal 2-stroke, this is the one to get. If you have questions just let me know.

  • @xoCRF150Rxo I am looking at getting a 97 360 exc...any thoughts?

  • @qutip14 I love this bike. I've been running it hard for three seasons and it never ceases to amaze me. There will be a period of time where a minor thing breaks every time you ride it, but if you wait it out, that stops. My entire third season with it i haven't had to replace a thing. As long as its in good shape, i definitely recommend it.

  • @marek0086 Why do you have to bash my bike? I bought it with my own money When i was 15 years old, which took my 2 years to save up from cutting grass. I put hours and hours of work into it to get to run perfect, and it runs absolutely beautifully. It'll beat a Yamaha WR450, so I rest my case.

  • first of all cock sucker, read the description it says it isnt completely back together. second, its a 2 stroke dumbfuck, all 2 strokes smoke like that. 3rd. thats a great bike and sounds really good.
