A very cute song but I don't know the artist, this is taken from one of my old 7" tape's. The song is also perfomed by Lill-Babs and Peter Kraus in german, "Das Macht Die Liebe" If anyone has any information about this song please update me. Enjoy Thanks everyone for the help to update me.

  • When this was released, I had a crush on Haley Mills. Yes, I am a geezer. But I thought this was pretty horrible at the time. I forget what side 2 was. It hasn't improved with age but, you know, Haley still rocks! Maybe I'll send her another fan letter and see if I get a personal reply instead of a mailer from Buena Vista Studios. Thank you for sharing it!

  • @pariahpete Good luck with the letter, please let us know how everything wokres out for you,. Regards from Sweden.

  • @swedefirebird70 Thanks! By the way.... what was on side 2?

  • @pariahpete Sorry I can't help you here because I have taken this song from an old 7 inch tape that I recorded in the middle of the seventies and I supose that side 2 wasn't that good becasue I didn't record it.

  • This is a good one, I've heard it by another artist but that version was a bit more uptempo I believe, however this is recorded by Hayley Mills and used in the movie called Parent Trap from 1961. She couldn't have been old when she recorded this one.....keep on rockin'

  • Thanks for the help.

  • @swedefirebird70 side 2 was called cobbler cobbler mend my shoes i to had a crush on haley still have all the best pongo

  • @pooka5472 Thank you! Even though I had the 45 I couldn't remember. Was it any good? I couldn't listen to side A very much... She tried! She was a good actress, though.

  • @pariahpete Side 2 was a song named "Cobbler, Cobbler."

  • @pariahpete The B-side is "Cobbler Cobbler"

  • Side 2 is Cobbler Cobbler! I still have the original 45!

  • @pariahpete I have the original 45 of this (inherited from my Dad, I hasten to add!) The other side is 'cobbler, cobbler'

  • @swedefirebird70 Thanks anyway. It couldn't have been that memorable. Even in my infatuation with her, I could tell Haley wasn't set for a singing career. She did become quite and accomplished actress, though. A chip off her old dad. In those days every teen in every TV show or movie cut a record. Thanks again for the memories.
