@ajmartino Yeah, and the Liberals always blame Labour governments for getting us into recessions when in fact Labour governments bring us out of recessions, it is not a governments fault for a recession these things just happen. What is a government fault for a economic downturn is when Hawke took over we were 9.5 billion dollars in debt and the Liberals never told the people!

may i add the only reason the howard government was able to create a surplus was because of the micro economic reforms enforced my the hawk keating government. Also having a surplus isn't that fantastic, considering that education, health and other essential services are grossly under funded. The liberals have a pattern they get in when things are going well and leave just as they are getting bad.
