"In what universe did you come from to make you think that looking at me while I was getting dressed is okay?! Youre unbelievable! How could you do that! Youre such a pervert!" I kept on yelling about how much I hated him right now. He was sitting down on his bed, looking at me with sad eyes. Even though I love him, it doesnt mean that he would get away easily after what he did. I continued shouting at him until he walked over to me then pulled me tightly on his chest.
"im so sorry." He apologized.
I was going to glare at him but I saw how sorry he was. It almost made me feel bad about yelling at him too much.
"I know that what I did was wrong. And I shouldnt have done that. I understand if you want to kill me right now. But I really, really am sorry." He said softly.
"how much did you see?" I asked quietly..
"just a little bit." He lied to try and make me feel better.
I buried my face on his chest, my face going red in embarrassment.
"you saw everything!" I accused.
"if it helps, you looked hot?"
I hit him on the chest lightly. I pulled away from him to sit down on his bed.
"I hate you." I mumbled.
He sat down next to me, putting his arm around my shoulder.
"forgive me?" he lifted my chin up, making me look in his eyes.
"fine." I sighed, knowing that I wouldnt be able to stay mad at him long anyway.
I stood up and headed to the door.
"where are you going?"
"your mom wants to talk to me, remember?" I reminded him.
"oh yeah."
I gave him a small smile and then I went downstairs. I saw Denise sitting down on the couch.
"so.. what did you want to talk about?" I asked as I sat down next to her.
"demi do you know who this is?" she showed me a picture of taylor. "I found it in joe's drawer."
"oh.. thats taylor swift. He he really likes her." I explained.
"and how do you feel about that?"
My eyebrows narrowed in confusion.
"huh?"
She laughed under her breath, placing her hand on my knee.
"demi Im not stupid. I know how you feel about my son." She stated.
"what? I dont feel anything about joe." I chuckled nervously.
She raised an eyebrow at me.
"okay. Fine. Maybe I have a very,very,very,very, small crush on him but...." I trailed off.
"you think he doesnt feel the same way." she filled in for me.
I sighed.
"I KNOW that he doesnt feel the same way. you should hear him talk about her." I gestured at taylors picture. "its really annoying."
"thats too bad. Ive always wanted you two to be together." She smiled sympathetically.
"I dont think that will ever happen." I looked down.
"oh, aweetie" she said, giving me a hug.
"its okay. Im alright." I assured her. "I guess I better go back upstairs." I said as I stood up.
"okay then." She gave me one more smile before I left.
"so.what did you guys talk about?" joe asked curiously as soon as I stepped inside his room.
"you know. ....Stuff." I said casually, lying down next to him on his bed.
"like what?"
"you know....stuff." I repeated. I wasnt going to tell him about how his mom knows about what I feel for him.
"fine. Dont tell me." he mumbled.
I laughed.
"joe?"
"hhmm?"
"when are you going to tell taylor you like her.?" I bit down on my bottom lip.
"I dont know. Tomorrow maybe." He sounded kind of unsure. "what do you think shes gonna say?"
I shrugged. I closed my eyes, hoping that my tears wont betray me this time. I felt joes hand holding mine.
"thanks for being my bestfriend demi. Atleast I know that theres still someone wholl take me if taylor rejects me." he joked.
I didnt respond. It sucks knowing that Ill be nothing more than a bestfriend to him.
One of the saddest things in life is when you still want to fight for the person you love, but you know that giving up is the only option left.
