I like Hime Gyaru's (I think they're called that)Because they're cute xD
But some of the Ganguro's look ultra scary and If I saw them walking down the street I would hose them.

@xLisdexicx No actually they're not trying to look like Americans, I lived there many years. Ganguro style was once very popular in Japan in late 90's I remember, they just like different styles, basically there are many Japanese styles beside these such as lolita, visual key, etc. Obviously they dress the way far from Americans. Oh also many otakus over there who love cosplay.

@8309browneyes the fashion style is called gyaru or gal in english. Its not a anime character or anything just fashion style. the point the makeup was rebellion against traditonal japanese culture with pale whitened skin and being quiet and etc. But the main look the go for is a Californian girl look even thou the extreme level varies.
