  • It is nice to be called the 'empire' but, as the umpire for this and every match which I do, my only intention is to be fair. The calls at the Net and on the Line were, as always, instinctive. At that moment that is what I saw and that is when I call. I never look to see who is affected. It is my duty to make the call. Well done to Kevin - he took his chance and went on to have a great World Championships. Chen Long was very sporting and he will have learned a lot from this match.

  • Well done judge, that was a SPOT ON call! no question there. AND well done to Kevin, you came out of nowhere and defeated the 2nd best player in china right now, i look forward to see you go up against the better players later on!

  • That second fault call, i paused it, and he hit it when it was prefectly straight above the net, so it couldve been a fault, or not, close call

  • 輸給主審??!!

  • CHINA #1 WHAT EVER GUYS COME ON LOL FUCKING CHINA WIN WIN WIN LOLOL ROFL!

  • Way to go Guatemala!

  • No excuse in losing. Kevin did well. Watch the game over again, he deserved it.

  • the umpire sure has eagle eyes ..

  • @cormacbreslin1960 No need to explain yourself to the YouTube critics Cormac. They are all biased. There is a very good reason you were picked for this match and the final - you are great at what you do. I thought your calls were spot on in every match, even the commentators remarked on how good they were. Keep up the good work.

  • @stanlyong Chen Long would have won if he played better on the day. He didnt, he lost - deal with it.

  • @coolysinny it's ok chen long, china win the title anyway. No worry.
