This is the William and Mary admission office's award-winning video message about the writing that's part of the application and the people who will be reading it. A link to this video appears within the essay prompt on the online application. Although students do not need to see the video prompt in order to complete their applications successfully, the video offers additional context that is intended both to put them at ease and to promote their creativity.
The screenplay for the video was written by Dean of Admission Henry Broaddus, and the video was produced by Kelsh Wilson Design. Nick Kelsh directed. Kevin Monko assisted and composed the background music.

Yay this is great! William & Mary has one of the most pleasant and reasonable applications I've seen yet. I like how they let us write about whatever.
