Q&A with Renee O'Connor in Paris

There was never a concern about the title. It's funny when you go into any project, you don't ? the small stuff, and I believe that in life. You look at the bigger picture. And I knew that this was an incredible opportunity because Hercules was a popular show. And we're working with two women characters who were strong and formidable, not in just in strength but in life. My focus was on playing Gabrielle. It was about bringing everything I could to see in my own curiosity who is this person. You know, who is she besides the funny sidekick. I was always more curious about looking into the depths of who she is. I wasn't worried about the title. And why? Your question why would probably be because the show was about Xena. We all knew it was the question of Xena. So no one really knew what the show would look like beyond the first year. If there would be a show past the first season. So my opportunity was only for that first season as far as we really knew. Um... do you wanna go there?
