  • And we do this cause we ACTUALLY use them for cattle, they are raised to heard. The cattle will step on the tails and severely injure or kill them. Having a tail on a cattle dog in the country we run in, is bad news, thick trees, high bushes, hard rough days and some mean ass cows that WANT to hurt the dogs. Trust me, docking the tails is humane is compared to what would happen if we didn't.

  • Fisrt of all, let me clear up the docking of the tail argument. There is a breed called a Stumpy Tailed dog, however this is NOT it! This is an orignal Blue Heller which has tan unlike the Stumpy Talied cattle dog, this tail is docked, they do it for a REASON! We dock our Blue Heelers tail, right after birth and they have no problems walking because they are learning from birth anyways.

  • @RobertoDavinci its called a natural stumpy, google it!

  • @101bluebuddy When my blue boy was a pup he absolutely TERRORIZED our 72# GSD! :-)

  • why the fuck are some people cutting the tails off ????

  • @madcrazymolley true

  • i paid $ 80 dollars for a pure breed blue heeler

  • There are two different breeds of cattle dog, regular and stumpy tailed......nobody is docking the tails assholes- it is how they are born. Do your research before you take the high ground dummies.

  • @madcrazymolley Their tail acts like a boat rudder, helps them steer their bodies. And by docking their tails they become less agile which effects their jobs and of course makes them a little more clumsy. Congratulations on your pup, how is it doing now?

  • @madcrazymolley

You really shouldn't crop any dogs' tail's nowadays. They were cropped back in the day so they tails wouldn't get hurt pulling carts and farm equipment(getting caught in the mechanism's/joints). You don't need dogs to do that anymore. And to be honest i personally have some issues with it ethically...
