This is a Charango, originally from Bolivia and Nort West from Argentina. It is an instrument product of mixed Spanish and Native Culture. Commonly is used a shell of an animal called "armadillo" to make the soundbox. It´s used to play Folklore music like "carnavalito" and others.

@ElRemixero93 and @Sarahsque It's NOT a charango. It's a RONROCO. The charango is smaller and has a higher pitch.
