Regular alkaline (LR6/L40) or optionally available Ni-MH rechargeable batteries can also be used, eliminating worries about running out of power virtually anywhere, anytime, on the road or off.
*Recording stops automatically after 29 minutes. This figure is based on in-house testing standards and stated for recording at 25°C with AA-size/R6 lithium, alkaline, or fully-charged EN-MH2-B4 batteries. Actual results may vary greatly depending on factors that include differences in ambient temperature, and the amount of zoom and autofocus operations used.

VR image stabilization and ergonomic grip ensure sharper results:
Advanced features that help produce sharp pictures include Image sensor shift and Electronic VR image stabilization, ISO 6400* support, Motion Detection, as well as BSS (Best Shot Selector).
