IRAQ - Abraham's Birthplace. The Ziggurat of the ancient city of Ur in the Old Testament. In addition, The Garden of Eden is believed to be 20 miles from here. Here is a simple video I made, of my experience there.

  • Abraham is from Babylon ,and his exact birthplace is UuRbaa which now Baghmalek small city in Khouzestan province of Iiran

  • Near the Ziggurat about 500 yards away is the house where the Biblical Father Abraham was born. Walking in Ancient Babylon (Modern day Iraq) the same ground where Abraham once walked .Ziggurat IS A PAGAN TEMPLE TO THE MOON GOD.IT SHOULD NOT BE REBUILT.

  • this place is in Iraq

  • solders should rebuilt Ziggurats!

  • where is this place? is it abraham was born in ziggurat?

  • Thank You is an interesting report!, Katy

  • im from iraq my culture is assyria

we ruled north of iraq way before ur

we had cities like nimrud and nineveh

nimrud is were the tower of babel was built

  • The largeest building is actually called the Ziggurat. This was built as a Temple to the Mood God, Zin. Abraham was born in the building with all the rooms. The large pit is a drain pit with evidence of two major flood, one from the time of Noah, the other one from before that. There is also a picture of the oldest original arch in the world. This has had no reconstruction done to it.

My husband brought back a video of the entire tour of the city of Ur.

  • Very solid building indeed. The stairs can still be used, althought so many people have walked on them in history. Modern building woudn't survive longer than 200 years.

  • Cool my buddy visited that site with the Marine Corps while he was part of the invasion force a few years ago. I will be posting a video in my profile in the next few months that have pictures of Him there with the Marines.
