Had to laugh at that landing as I did the same thing with my CMP spitfire. Greased it on and then like a idiot gave it up elevator to drop the tail down. Made a nice 2nd take off and landing right into the long grass and the end of the runway.
@UPUPUP69 you know what they say the heavyer it is the more power you need i think this one is little underpowered and for as far as scale goes his take off was a little to soon.there ment to go fast to get the desired performance and top dallar on parts to make things lighter
I am building a Nitroplanes P-40. Needless to say the plans leave a lot to be desired. I have a Tower Hobbies 2 stroke .75 I am using for an engine. Any advice on the engine mount. I am thinking I want to mount it sideways to put the exhaust on the bottom. Thanks,
lucky you had the power to pull out of that take off. congrats

This CMP flies like a BRICK. I would not waste time and money on it. Too unstable plane. My VQ model flies much better, see video response.

Thanks, that is what I am planning. Your plane looks great. Any more videos?

I would suggest mounting it inverted as shown with a pitts style muffler exiting downward.

They are Century Jet. Had to modify the wells slightly but no problems.

What retracts are you using? I'm not sure what will fit.
